Catching up on 2010 then on to 2011

Here is a brief catch up of 2010:
At the end of December Nana, Papa, Kevin, Tonya, Avery, Claire, Amber, Bob
and I met in Afton, Oklahoma at a Worldmark resort on Monkey Island

Papa and Nana spent Christmas in Austin then drove up to Decatur
where the four of us drove to Monkey Island, Oklahoma.

We found the McDonalds, in Vinita, Oklahoma, that we first visited
on our Benaglio/Larson U.S. tour in 1974!

Our 'hotel', as Avery called it, for the week.
Papa, Nana, Tonya, Avery, Claire, Bob, Patty
were the first to arrive. Amber and Kevin would come later in the week.

The closet space behind every is where we put the
Christmas presents till we could open them.
It was overflowing! Thank you, Carolyn, Nana, Wanda, Julie and their fellows!

Avery was able to open one gift every morning till Kevin was able to join us.
Then we opened all the presents.

Tonya, Claire, Bob, Papa drove to town to get groceries so
Nana, Avery and I walked down to the lake to 'touch' the water.

Avery made a tent in the front room and invited us in...

One of Avery's gifts was a Snuggli.

Avery is a great musician with her new piano.

A little cold for our convertible jeep trip....

Avery got 'Hi Ho Cherry-0' game for Christmas and it is now her favorite game!!!

Tried something new this year, instead of gingerbread houses we did Rice Krispy treat houses.
Turned out delicious and pretty!

Two master chefs in the kitchen working together.....Wow!

My phone has an app that takes photos with special filters.
The next 2 are some examples of what it can do.
