Where did December 2008 go?

We started with Sandra's graduation and from there the month took off!

After Abilene we went to Austin for a week.

Papa and Nana pulled their trailer into Mike and Debbie's yard to stay for a couple of weeks. We stayed at an RV resort and on Wednesday Mike cooked up some fabulous meat. Sandra, Nana, Debbie and I went shopping one day. Bob and I went out with one of his Austin IBM co-workers one evening. Throughout all this Bob worked at the IBM plant and I had to drive him everyday so Sandra and I could have the truck.

One night we called Brad and Sandra and asked if they could take a ton of Xmas gifts to Kansas, they were heading out after Christmas, they invited us for a great dinner and they were watching Kylie and Eric's precious Nate and Tate, another great evening.

During this time Sandra decided she wanted to spend her graduation money and we spent several evenings looking for just the right camera. We finally found it at Sears on sale.

After Austin we head to Decatur to spend Christmas on our property!

Christmas eve we ate at a local Italian restaurant. Amber is demonstrating her Christmas I-phone gift from.... herself

then headed to Grapevine to the 'Gaylord' hotel to view a special 'ICE' event..We were given huge 'eskimo' parkas

Wow it was gigantic and cold a whopping 9 degrees.




Christmas day we had a traditional dinner and did some more 'shooting' then went to our traditional Xmas movie. This year it was 'Bedtime Stories'

A few days after Christmas Debbie, Mike, Race, Cal and Kassi came from Austin to visit our property and spend a few hours with us! I have no pictures of this occasion but we were so excited to have them all come up.

December 30 Sandra, Bob and I drove to Abilene and packed up her storage room to head to Florida where Sandra is moving.

We spent New Year's eve near Shreveport, La at this cute little RV park. Sandra's car headlights stopped working so on our trip to Florida we try to get to each stop before dark. Well on this evening we started off late and stopped just an hour before sundown and we didn't have any fireworks, sparkling cider, so Bob and Sandra sped off in her car to find a store. They got back just after dusk they found that if you hold the lo/hi beam stick the lights would stay on in her car. Anyway we had all the celebration goodies and at midnite we partied...sort of after all we are in a campground with 10pm noise curfew. Oh, and I had the honor of doing laundry on New Year's eve...WooHoo

Okay so that is 2008 . We look to 2009 and all it has to offer
